I managed to complete it today, here is the final verdict.

Resident Evil 4 is one of the best survival horror games of all time for me AND a great candidate for my personal GOTY 2026.
The suspense is insane sometimes and the story rolls out in a really entertaining way. The ranged attacks, combined with melee attacks are super satisfying to do, and they are really well executed, I love headshots a lot man. Parrying is really fun once you learn it. Also there are many funny moments, either Leon' quotes or Luis's quotes.

I absolutely love the pacing of Resident Evil 4. Each chapter takes roughly an hour to do (if you take your time/first playthrough), which makes it entertaining to progress, as you don't feel stuck.
The graphics are spectacular and the game still runs well above the 60 FPS threshold (90-120FPS on High details for me) considering most remasters are not that good in optimisation these days. The world feels full and interactive, and almost nothing is given to you for free.

The puzzles are pretty good and kinda fun to do, and the game tries sometimes to trick you into thinking something else. I also think that is the most epic way on how to end an incredible game. I shed a tear from joy.

I'm so glad that I discovered the entire Resident Evil franchise, and even if I paid 40€ for this one, it was more than worth it. That's all, dear reader, we will meet again on Resident Evil 9(Requiem) review.
