(This review contain light spoilers of Cyberpunk 2077.)
I am writing this review mid-game with about 48 hours of gameplay invested.

The story so far is satisfying enough the characters are the best thing the game has going for it.
My gripe starts with some seemly cut content at the start of each path you choose (Street Kid, Nomad or Corpo) which change basically a 15 minute intro and then every path nails down with a roughly 3 minutes montage of what you're supposed to experience in 5 in-game months.
The skill system in the game is serviceable enough with mostly uninspired perks, which are those of percentages. (Ex. Increases damage with rifles by 3%, Increases Crit Chance with Rifles by 10% when firing from behind cover, Increases Rifle and Submachine Gun damage to moving enemies by 10%..)

The combat is also flawed with janky movements, getting stuck at places with debris and sliding at weird angles. It also can't help that you can't unmap the quick-dodge buttons (press twice movement direction button to dodge) so you'll be accidentally dodging all the time, which can be frustrating while sneaking or taking cover. Shooting feels satisfying compared to others RPG's of the genre (miles better than fallout 4).

The police AI in the game is nonexistent, you could kill a person in the middle of the desert or in the Pacific district, which in lore says the police doesn't care or doesn't dare to venture, and they WILL spawn 5ft behind you and start shooting instantly.

Now, the worst part of the game comes in form of bugs and missing promised features.
As the case of the wanted system, which "CD Projekt RED promised that Cyberpunk 2077 would have a 'wanted' system with corrupt police as well as 'powerful' NPCs who can come after the player character.

The bugs and glitches go as far as breaking missions, locking the player in a passive state, floating weapons, no audio in dialogue, Insta death by glitches collision and so on.
Cyberpunk 2077 tries to do so much with its systems but in the end there's not enough polishment in none of them.
I truly believe that there is a good game behind all of this, CDPR clearly set an unrealistic release date and now they're paying for their mistakes.
I cannot recommend the game right now, but things might get better with future updates.
Until then, stay clear from this game.
