At the time of writing this, I am at 248 total tours, so I'm still a low tour. But I hope my perspective on MvM (specifically Valve MvM) enlightens you to some degree.
It's fun! The gameplay of MvM genuinely intrigues me. It's a very easy gamemode, being the easiest in TF2 in its entirely, yet there is so much to learn in it across all nine classes and all five tours. I still have very much to learn across each class, and I want to try to do better every tour!
While I don't play for loot at all (like any normal person), the loot drop system is genuinely intriguing and is always cue for celebration when your fellow teammate gets something nice.
I also almost always solo queue. I enjoy playing with different players every mission. I rarely, if ever, queue up with anybody.
No. Third party code or credit exploiting are the most common form of cheating in Mann Up and I do not condone either of them. Valve MvM is already really easy; why ruin the experience of those who actually want to play the game legitimately?
- The Bonk! Atomic Punch is really unappreciated. Being able to safely secure overheal is an amazing utility, as well as being able to safely pick up money in the front lines if your team gets pushed back.
- The Dragon's Fury is very, very fun and has pretty good damage to top it off. Great at killing Giants as well. Very rewarding if you manage to keep the firing speed bonus going.
- The Stock Syringe Gun is the Medic primary I see myself using the most. Unlike the Blutsauger, you don't have decreased passive health regeneration, and it does a bit more damage than the Overdose. Acceptable damage with the Mad Milk Syringes upgrade, which is a very good failsafe tool when you don't have your Shield or UberCharge available.
