At the time of writing, I have 1,532 hours in Team Fortress 2. I have played this game since before it was free to play in 2011. I have played this game for over a decade. I do not make this review lightly. I could go on and on about how amazing a game this game was and what a great community we have. This is one of the only games where you can still encounter friendly servers regularly and consistently. Valve has abandoned the game to aimbots. They don't give a crap about the game anymore, and nothing shows this more than the perilous state the game's public servers are in. Valve has an equity of ~$10 billion USD and ~ 350 employees. This equity is more than the entire GDP of Monaco. Valve has clearly made a decision as to the fate of Team Fortress 2, and we, as players, should expect the same for other Valve releases, past or present. As much as I hate to say it, I don't believe Team Fortress 2 will ever be in a playable state like it was in the early days. I make this review out of hope that I will be proven wrong. Thousands of players, like me, make these reviews in the hope we will be wrong.
