FBI agent Grace Ashcroft is assigned to investigate a series of murders, and the location she visits is where she and her mother were eight years earlier.

Leon S. Kennedy also investigates the murders, but they are all connected because the victims survived Raccoon City, and Leon is undoubtedly infected.


Grace Ashcroft: It is recommended to play in first person as Grace because her gameplay is geared towards horror (at least on the first playthrough). Grace's sections will be very difficult, so be prepared for limited ammo, healing items, and crafting materials.

Leon S. Kennedy: It is recommended to play in third person as Lion because his gameplay is focused on shooting, shooting, blowing heads off, and killing everything that can be killed. He's back stronger than ever (at least on the first playthrough). Lion has a huge number of new mechanics: new legs, his axe can completely obliterate a head and can be repaired at any time, his pistol has animations and if you get too close to a zombie, he'll put it to its face and blow it off, and his special weapon, Requiem, kills anything that moves with one shot.
And of course, Leon S. Kennedy humor is spectacular.

New additions: Grace initially needs to find three blood samples scattered throughout the Care Facility. You can unlock these by solving a puzzle with the laser microscope to unlock all the craftable items. You'll also get the Blood Collector, which you can use to collect infected blood from enemies and then craft items.
My favorite item is the Hemolytic Injector: It kills any zombie, but it's only usable once, so I recommend making several. Good luck discovering the rest of the game because it's all spectacular!


READING THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT IF YOU HAVE AN RTX 40 SERIES GRAPHICS CARD

After hundreds of tests, the entire RTX 40 series is experiencing issues and drastic drops in FPS and performance. (This has been confirmed in numerous posts on Steam and Reddit.)

DO NOT DOWNLOAD the new drivers. If you have version 591.86, I strongly recommend that you revert to version 576.88 (July 2025). The drivers can be downloaded without problems from the Nvidia website.

I can confirm that it now works perfectly for me (there are occasional stutters, but nothing more).

Raccoon City: When you get to Raccoon City, lower the game's mesh settings to LOW (it doesn't matter what graphics card you have, it will cause stuttering problems).


After finishing the story for the first time, I can say that the game is incredible, and Capcom has done a spectacular job.
I cried at the end of the game.
I can't wait for the DLC to come out!!!
