Early Access Review
I HAVE NO MOUTH AND HELL IS FULL
As much as Ultrakill gets praise for its gameplay, as it should, there are other things absolutely incredible things about this game, like:

The Music
The breakcore and adrenaline pumping music makes each level such a joy to run through, not to mention the simple ambience of the music raising and lowering based on if you're fighting or not or becoming muffled if underwater. And then the game decides it doesn't care what you want and gives you the most calming and tranquil song known to mankind.
It just makes every level stand out so much, where you can recognize levels just by their music alone.

The Atmosphere
Every layer of hell has it's own theme and even subtle details show what it represents. And even more surprisingly, the typical "Hell stereotypes" get kind of flipped? Like wrath for example- Wrath & anger are usually shown by fire and flames, but here it's represented by the raging sea and waters.
It also has it's fair share of horror. I like getting scared out of my pants.

The Writing
This game is surprisingly well written. It has descriptions for all weapons and foes and has a lot of lore hidden within dialogue from both characters and books. It's also very funny.

And ya know what's the best part? It's not even finished yet and still getting updated with content. What's not to love :)
