I will definitely update this review later. But I wanted to add a BIG THUMBS UP immediately because I’m dismayed that there aren’t more reviews on this delightful game just yet. This is such a cozy game that I never saw coming until a great friend highly recommended it yesterday, on early access release. It is flawless on handheld (Lenovo Legion Go for me, with SteamOS, which controls nearly identically to my Deck).

If you’ve played any of the dev’s other games, this one has been really streamlined, I think, and that makes the **gameplay loop extra smooth and addictive.** Large skill tree to unlock as well! Tons to do. And the old world hand-drawn storybook cutouts are such a VIBE.

EDIT: I forgot to mention that it seems this game doesn’t have any of the stress that is typically associated with cooking games! Nothing wilts, rots, burns, or spoils as far as I can tell. And the cute animal customers never get upset about having to wait however long to be served (or not served: appears that they simply help themselves to the tables of bread), or for the store to open, or if items run out. Everyone just has a refreshingly pleasant attitude no matter what. :D
