Let's get some methods of connection out there:

We wamt to connect. We want this group to be more active. And to do that, we need platforms that we can connect on. There is this steam page, of course, but we need better methods. So, in this post, I am going to run down the methods of connection and explain what they add to this group and why you should use them.

Discord:
Discord is a messenging platform that uses text and voice channels to promote chatting and gaming in communities. We've already talked about this so we won't spend as much time on it. Check it out here.[discord.gg]

The Website:
Our new website is the way we primarily want to promote community gameplay and discussion. The forum on the site is much more organized than on this steam page. There are so many more things we can do with the website than we can on here. We deeply encourage you to join the website so that we can begin testing out game matchmaking and just testing the website in general to find out just what we can do to make it perfect. Twitch:
Something new we wanna do is start doing community events. These will be stuff like group tournaments and group gaming events on games where we can all, as a community, collectively play something. And when we start doing these, it's likely that you will be able to view these events if you can't join in them on Powpowitsme's stream. I encourage you to go follow him for future viewing. That's all we have for now but if you need another way to get in touch, messaging a staff member or posting a discussion is a good way to start. The staff will be gradually moving towards the website, so it's a good idea to start migrating over there now so that you can be a part of the somewhat "beta" period where we are trying to take your opinions into account as far as what the site should be like.

Yeah, there's a website now. I think it'll be pretty cool and help pick up activity. If we get enough people on, then it'll be a good place to find people to play games with. All announcements will be posted both here and on the website, as well as some news being posted only to the website. There is also a separate forum on the website that will be much more organized than the one here. However, we still want to see people on here. Though we have the website now, this steam page still acts as a hub for all activity.

As some of you may notice, we don't really have a place where we have our Rules listed, so this announcement may help some of you.

Rules

1. Do not be rude. This generally means excercise good judgement before commenting/posting.

2. Do not spam. This applies to the group wall, comments, forums, and Discord.

3. No use of derogatory or inflammatory speech. This includes all types of slurs, as well as bringing up subjects such as politics.

4. Breaking any rules will result in a ban. You get two warnings on the group, one on the Discord.

I hope this clears a few things up.

As you heard yesterday, there has been a change in leadership. Pikmin has stepped down as Owner and handed the role over to me. Pikmin will thankfully stay on the staff as an Administrator. With the change in leadership, there will be some changes made to the group within the next few months. As for now, the main thing we are pushing is the discord server. I highly encourage everyone to join the server and come chat and hang out with us. We will also need feedback as we integrate changes into the group and the discord. We hope to see you there and we hope to see you around the server.
