The numbers are in, and Lords of the Fallen has officially crossed a major milestone.

The dark fantasy action RPG has now sold over 2.5 million copies, allowing developer CI Games to fully recover its massive investment.

With an estimated budget of around $80 million covering both development and global marketing, breaking even in today’s highly competitive market is no small achievement. According to recent updates, the game reached this point by the end of February 2026 meaning every additional sale from here on contributes directly to profit.

This milestone comes at a critical time, as CI Games is already looking ahead.
The studio is reportedly ramping up work on a sequel, bringing in new talent and strengthening partnerships to build on the momentum of the first release.

While Lords of the Fallen had a mixed launch reception, its steady sales performance shows that the soulslike genre continues to draw a strong audience especially when backed by long-term support and updates.
