As you might know, we are working on our next city builder game.

After releasing Planetbase back in 2015, when we decided to make a sequel, we decided to change the setting completely and we made Dawn of Man instead.

For our next city builder installment, we are going back to our origins and we are creating Planetbase 2, however this is in every way a spiritual successor to Dawn of Man, the same way the later was a successor to PB1.

We see this game as the 3rd iteration of our city builder formula, and we are trying to make Dawn of Man players feel at home in the game.

This is an updated comparison of some of the evolved features that are making a comeback.

One of the main new mechanics in DoM compared to PB1 was the Tech Tree. In PB2 we are going to have something similar that we are going to call Upgrades, we are using a different name, because these are both technologies and general improvements for your base.

We are also having several Stages, that unlock different upgrades, like the Ages in Dawn of Man.

We are adding a variety of vehicles to Dawn of Man, that will fulfill sort of similar roles to what the did in DoM. Instead of Sledges, Carts and Plows you are going to have Rovers, Trucks, Harvesters. This is apart from autonomous machines like bots and drones.

Work Areas are making a comeback, and also Primal Vision mode, which is now called Scan Mode.

These DoM concepts will allow the player to find resources and automate harvesting much easier compared to Planetbase 1.

The AI in DoM was a big step up compared to PB1, and we are bringing many of these new concepts to PB2, like the ability to give direct commands to your people or the concept of tasks, where people have a task composed of a list of actions that they will perform until completion, without getting distracted by other actions.

• Resource Limits as a percentage of the population

• Multi selection of characters and structures

• Higher game speeds up to 8x
