Why modern version is exclusive to console? wtf?

I've played this game for years without any issues and all of a sudden my slide just does not work. i tried it on my controller, checked that the game is getting input from that button, all of it works. I tried on keyboard controls and that also doesn't work. There is just no difference between my turns with/without slide. I'm going to try reinstalling the game once I'm not having internet issues but in the mean time, anyone else having this issue or similar? What I've tried: Remapping the cont...

I bought this game a long while ago and I tried starting the game all it did was show a blue loading bar. The furthest that got was about half way then crashed. I am on windows 11 and I am not entirely sure what to do. I tried following a few steps from a steam disscusion page and that didn't really help.
