A bright shine just to fade away quickly

The Team Fortress 2 Gold Rush mod does not meet the expectations and tastes of what the community wanted when it came to the "old feeling" of TF2 in the end, due to questionable game and weapon decisions made from the team to being inmature when recieveing complaints/suggestions in their discord server.

The few positives that can be said from this mod is that it runs really well on what i can assume on any PC (bringing back the "oh, tf2 can run on even a damn toaster" meme to life), it also had a variety of maps and cosmetics that fitted in the old tf2 artsyle, finally it managed to satisfy some of the cries of the TF2 community that wanted that "old TF2 feeling"

But the positives that this game has are out weighed heavily from the negatives, the weapons that were added in this game were way out of the year they intended to make this game feel like, also weapon stats that were broken in the earlier years of TF2 had also been brought into this mod without any changes. The also infamous event of "auto reload" where auto reloading your weapon was not implemented into this game even when it was added in the original game in 2009. People of this mods discord server tried to tell the mod team about adding it to the game but were sadly meet with inmaturity and toxicity from the mod team and other members of the discord server


It is a shame a big project like this started out so well but died quickly with the situations that have unfolded during it's lifespan, right now the mod can be considered "dead" and "abandonded" by it's creators, I do not recommend installing this mod due to you will surely not find an active server or finding a server with so little players in it

This mod can now be called "Coal rush" since what was found as gold at first turned about to be coal in the end

El mod «Gold Rush» de Team Fortress 2 no cumple con las expectativas ni los gustos de lo que la comunidad esperaba en cuanto a la «sensación de antaño» de TF2, debido a decisiones cuestionables sobre el juego y las armas tomadas por el equipo, así como a su actitud inmadura al recibir quejas y sugerencias en su servidor de Discord.

Los pocos aspectos positivos que se pueden destacar de este mod son que funciona muy bien en lo que supongo que es cualquier PC (dando vida al meme de «oh, TF2 puede funcionar incluso en una maldita tostadora»), también contaba con una variedad de mapas y elementos cosméticos que encajaban con el estilo artístico del antiguo TF2 y, finalmente, logró satisfacer algunas de las peticiones de la comunidad de TF2 que quería esa «sensación del antiguo TF2».

Pero los aspectos positivos de este juego se ven ampliamente eclipsados por los negativos: las armas que se añadieron están muy alejadas de la época en la que se pretendía ambientar el juego, y además se han incorporado a este mod, sin ningún cambio, las estadísticas de armas que ya estaban desequilibradas en las primeras versiones de TF2. También está el infame evento de la «recarga automática», donde la recarga automática de tu arma no se implementó en este juego, incluso cuando se añadió en el juego original en 2009. La gente del servidor de Discord de este mod intentó decirle al equipo del mod que lo agregaran al juego, pero lamentablemente se encontraron con inmadurez y toxicidad por parte del equipo del mod y otros miembros del servidor de Discord.


Es una pena que un proyecto tan grande como este comenzara tan bien, pero muriera rápidamente debido a las situaciones que se desarrollaron durante su vida útil; en este momento, el mod puede considerarse «muerto» y «abandonado» por sus creadores. No recomiendo instalar este mod, ya que seguramente no encontrarás un servidor activo o encontrarás un servidor con muy pocos jugadores.

Ahora este mod se puede llamar «Coal Rush», ya que lo que al principio se creía que era oro resultó ser carbón al final.

The devs are holding back this mod's potential for being a great classic TF2 experience. If the devs were smart and not blinded by their own bias and pickiness, they would add in the remaining hats, maps, and weapons pre-2012 that are not in this mod as well as some needed fixes to the game. As someone who loves classic era TF2, this isn't it, chief.
