Hey, here's a small update with mostly QOL stuff.
- Add a "Close to tray" option, closing the window to tray when closing it instead of closing the app.

- Support resolution changing back to dynamic when set to Auto when "External res change compatibility" is enabled

- Allow changing the GPU Index for VRAM monitoring (for if you have multiple GPUs)

- Use FPS for the resolution change thresholds and display the real target FPS (being those thresholds) instead of the HMD hz

- Display the actual resolution alongside the percentage

- "Data average samples" has been removed from the settings and just defaults to 128 in code (the old default, maximum, and only value you'd want anyways)

How to use OVR Dynamic Resolution?

Hello guys can somebody explain to me how to use this application? i can't find any tutorial on how to use it. I Have a Quest 3 and an Valve Index but it work scale down or up anything even if i try to play with the settings. Thank You

Hi there! Here's a new update with the long-awaited whitelist feature!

Changes since v1.1.0

Added a whitelist and renamed "disabled applications" to "blacklisted applications" in the General settings.
Added the option "External res change compatibility", which automatically sets the resolution adjustment to manual when resolution is changed outside the app, allowing compatibility with apps such as OyasumiVR or Virtual Handheld. This setting is available in the General settings
Resolution is now internally calculated as a floating point number instead of an integer, only rounding when necessary, allowing better precision between resolution change iterations.
The window title is now always named "OVR Dynamic resolution" and the version text is now displayed below it.

Thanks for all the initial reviews and feedback, I'm glad this app is helping so many people have a smooth VR experience.
In fact, OVR Dynamic Resolution already has over 670 unique users!

Changes since v1.0.0:

Added a "Manual resolution" mode, replacing the "Pause resolution" toggle, pausing the automatic resolution adjustment and giving you a slider to manually adjust it directly from the app.
Reworked the tray icon, showing the window on left click.

Is it not possible to use it with Virtual Desktop?

I play games on the Quest Pro using Virtual Desktop. When I actually tried it, I didn't notice any significant difference. Does using Virtual Desktop on the Quest Pro mean that I can't benefit from this program's effects?

Resolution setting in SteamVR does nothing

The problem is that the resolution parameter, neither in manual nor in automatic mode, never worked for me. I do not see any difference in either performance or image. If you know what the matter is, please tell me in the comments. I am using Valve Index and tried to change render resolution option in steamVR playing such games as Help Wanted 2 and Metro: Awakening. Please add whitelisting

There's currently a blacklisting capability where you can have it disable itself for applications you specify if it causes problems. I'd like to also have a whitelisting capability where you can have it enable itself only for particular applications you specify. I want it primarily for VRChat where it works very well. I want to be able turn it on only for titles I've tested where I know it works properly and is useful. In particular, I do not want it active for new unknown titles I may just be trying o...

Doesnt work that well. Doesnt check if its a CPU bottleneck, causing my GPU to run at 70% usage while my CPU stays the same, while lowering my graphics without improving performance, Only use on games where your not going to have a CPU bottleneck.
