Rogue is that Assassin’s Creed game you forgot existed until Steam reminds you it’s on sale for the price of a coffee. And honestly? It’s pretty good. Naval combat is still peak AC, the icy map is a nice change from sunburn simulators and playing the bad guy for once is refreshing. The downside is that it reuses a lot of assets and kind of overstays its welcome. It’s not trying to reinvent the franchise, just giving you a tighter, colder, slightly angrier Black Flag. Think of it as a well-made side quest that somehow became its own game.

While Rogue is essentially "Black Flag, but in north Atlantic" I found it more enjoyable due to it not being filled with tailing missions like Black Flag

Assassin’s Creed Rogue is underrated. The story feels different since you play as a former Assassin, which made it more interesting. Ship combat is still fun, and the icy setting gives it a nice change of vibe.

It’s not the biggest Assassin’s Creed game, but there’s enough to do and it’s still worth playing.
