This game has more crashes than game time played.. It is almost impossible to enjoy the game because of all the issues with Ubisoft servers crashing or just not working at all to start with. Not worth it.

I’ve put about 77 hours into Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Breakpoint, and I really tried to give it a fair chance—especially because I enjoyed Wildlands. Unfortunately, this game never evolves beyond a repetitive, system-heavy loop that feels more like busywork than a meaningful tactical experience.

The core issue is the mission design. Whether you’re playing the main story, side missions, or Operation Motherland, it’s the same structure over and over again: go here, talk to someone, travel across the map, clear a base, collect something, then go somewhere else and repeat. Every region in Motherland follows the exact same formula—destabilize, run a few activities, finish the objective, move on. It doesn’t get deeper or more interesting, just more repetitive.

Stealth is another major frustration. You can spend a long time carefully clearing a base, but one small mistake instantly triggers full-scale combat. The entire base gets alerted, reinforcements arrive, drones show up, and it turns into chaos. There’s no real middle ground—stealth either works perfectly or completely collapses. AI teammates don’t reliably support you in these situations either, which makes it worse.

The progression systems also feel disconnected from the gameplay. In Gear Score mode, you’re constantly swapping weapons. In Immersive mode and Motherland, once you pick a weapon and upgrade it to Mk.3, there’s little reason to engage with loot at all. You end up collecting blueprints, parts, and clues that don’t meaningfully impact your experience. It becomes clear pretty quickly that most of it is filler.

Operation Motherland improves structure slightly compared to the base game, but it’s still the same loop repeated across every region. Increasing difficulty just makes enemies tougher—it doesn’t add variety or change how missions play out.

Compared to Wildlands or even something like Far Cry 6, this feels like a step backward. Those games had clearer progression, more varied missions, and a stronger sense of purpose. Breakpoint feels like a collection of systems that never fully come together.

There are some positives—the world looks good, and the gunplay can feel solid—but they’re not enough to carry the experience long-term.

If you enjoy open-ended sandbox gameplay and don’t mind repetition, you might get something out of it. But if you’re looking for structured missions, meaningful progression, and variety, this game falls short.

Overall: Not recommended.
