An absolute clunkfest that quickly became unplayable. I had been very excited to play this for a long time and finally got around to it, and it deserves its mixed reviews. The platforming is poor, puzzles frustrating (I'll know exactly what to do then proceed to spend multiple minutes getting the game to let me do so: slow movement and animations, accidental deaths due to fall damage, reloading in random places).
I finally gave up when my game glitched my character into the ground and I could not move. It required reloading my save from 20 minutes prior which I already didn't enjoy playing, and I will not replay it to progress.
This is the game Ron Gilbert loves deeply and I can appreciate that while also never wanting to launch this game again. I'll maybe watch a playthrough to experience it, but in the hour I played I was not hooked by the characters or plot. The art is kind of ugly-pretty, the sound effects are decent but way overdone (playing too many at once, or too often). The Steam achievements are the worst example I've seen of spoiling the plot.
Don't recommend this game.

Played this as a kid a bit i'm really glad they had it on steam. It's a mix of dark humor and puzzle solving so if you like both you need to play this.
