I generally have a high tolerance for 3D platformers, but this one tricked me. It's a map game disguised as a 3D platformer! You run and jump around, but it's in service of chasing down map markers and doing sidequests (checkpoint races and other assorted busywork). Controls do not feel good. You feel pokey and cumbersome. Combat suffers similarly, with long wind-ups on every single attack, presumably to emphasize that your character is tiny and carrying a heavy weapon. Emphasize the combat feeling good instead! I don't like the character designs and the noises they make. The camera isn't good. The framerate is choppy on my 4080, even if I go down to Ultra Low settings. Menus are poorly designed. It's an open world game about following map markers but the map is buried in a sub-menu.
It's not pure junk or anything, but I'm not going to finish this one and I finish almost anything.

Charming, fun, enough chalange for non hardcore gamers and plenty of side tasks to do. It reminded me of when I was a kid with the simple joys of solving puzzles and uncomplicated combat, truely a relaxing game.

So far, I’m finding this game to be charming.
