The game simply does not run anymore. Before this update, it ran reliably. Uninstalled and reinstalled, verified, etc. Can anyone suggest a solution?

Ive seen a few games I want, star wars battlefront and this. But I dont wanna download another ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ launcher on my pc. Does this add another or no? This looks like a good game but 100% not worth if another launcher is present.
