Even though Gunsmith Simulator has been out for quite some time now, we’re not slowing down. The workshop is still busy, tools are still hot, and we’re continuing to expand the game throughout 2026.

Today we want to share a preview of our development roadmap for the coming year.

On the roadmap graphic you will see five cards representing the updates and content planned for 2026. For now, we’re revealing just one of them - the rest remain face down… for the moment.

All of this content is planned throughout 2026, and we’ll be revealing each card step by step as development progresses.

We’re proud to present Heavy Metal DLC — an expansion we’ve been working on for many months, taking on some of the most complex firearm designs in history: machine guns. MG3, M60, PKP Pecheneg, and M249 each feature unique characteristics and intricate mechanics, so it was important to us to recreate them with maximum attention to detail.

• MG3 - A German machine gun with an extremely high rate of fire, derived from the MG42 design. Belt feeding and a roller-locking mechanism make it precise — but demanding.
  
• M60 - An American general-purpose machine gun used for decades across various conflicts. Its distinctive design and gas-operated system make it one of the most recognizable support weapons.
  
• PKP Pecheneg - A Russian 7.62×54mmR machine gun designed for prolonged sustained fire. A reinforced barrel and a design built for harsh conditions increase its reliability.
  
• M249 - A light machine gun used by, among others, NATO forces, belt-fed with 5.56 mm ammunition. It combines mobility with strong firepower, providing versatile support for infantry.

The release date for Heavy Metal DLC will be announced soon.

Before the DLC launches, we’ll also release a major free update that adds two new guns to the game. We’ll reveal the details in a separate announcement.
