I’ve been working around the clock over the past 4–5 days to track down the multiplayer disconnection issue. I believe I’ve FINALLY identified the issue and implemented a fix, along with a general overall improvement to the netcode. I’ve also tackled and addressed a bunch of other little things along the way.

Game Version is now 3.0e41

• found the cause for disconnections when players friendly players get killed

• optimized how player/npc data is synced to improve responsiveness

• improved enemy animation sync amongst all players

• reduced issue with enemies getting stuck between changing states

• VR shotgun Ammo Counter now syncs correctly

• fixed issue with FPS player respawning their weapons when dead (in shooting ranges)

• fixed issue with FPS players not spawning with their gadgets

• fixed issue with Restrained targets occasionally not being tagged as Restrained

• alternate sidearm now shows on the correct side in Left Hand Weapon Swap Mode

• "Extra Weapon" selector now turns off when Extra-Sidearm perk is untoggled

• reduced amount of Rocket ammo players start with (both fps and vr)

• fixed Rocket Launcher holding stance now showing for FPS player

• fixed issue with Rockets exploding twice on impact occasionally

• patrolling enemies now stop patrolling when triggered

• slightly increased volume/bass of m4 firing

• updated gunshot sounds for break-action shotguns (both vr and fps)

• added option to disable Anti-Aliasing in the menus (both vr and fps)

• navigation issues in mission 3

• navigation issues in mission 5

Please let me know if you are still experiencing issues with multiplayer or with disconnections, or with any other issues! The next task is to further improve the buddy AI. But I'm probably gonna take a short break before i start tackling that one. :P

The past few days, I've been working around the clock to try and fix a multiplayer disconnection issue. This disconnect tends to appear whenever there is an FPS player in the mix.

This patch only alleviate some issues with the online multiplayer, but it doesn't resolve it completely. I decided to release the patch now to avoid further delaying the other bug fixes and improvements I’ve been working on.

Game Version is now 3.0e3b

• fixed VR players being able to punch enemies when dead

• fixed VR bullet tracers passing through walls when shot too close to the walls

• improved Ballistic Shield's capability to block at close range

• increased Ballistic Shield grab collider so it's easier to pick up from back

• fixed Double Barrel Shotgun in Mission 2

• Left hand mode accessibility settings have been split up into

  • Left Hand Locomotion (only locomotion is swapped)

  • Health UI Swap (only VR Health bars are swapped)

  • Weapon Swap (only weapon spawns are swapped)

  • Menu UI swap (only Menu UI controls are swapped)

• updated enemy hit detection at higher bullet velocities

• enemy shotgunners now have a 0.2 - 0.3 second delay between fully aiming and firing their shot

• enemy shotgunners now shoot 4 pellets per shot instead of 10

  This nerf will significantly reduce the enemy shotgunners chance to one shot you at long range. It's still possible if you're unlucky and you don't have the body armor perk!

• added an additional check that prevents players from shooting until Sprint -> Idle animation is fully completed

• fps players can no longer push enemies when dead

• fixed Rocket launcher rockets not being able to hurt other players

• fixed some of the FPS SWAT arm textures that were unintentionally glossy

• fixed Shepherd-MG not working properly

• missing wall collider in Mission 9 (Hospital Level)

• floating cups in Mission 4 (Bank Level)

• floating cactus in Mission 4 (Bank Level)

• missing colliders in Shooting Range

• extra window in Map 5 (Warehouse)

• added missing Navigation collider in Map 5 (warehouse)

• fixed MP issue where VR players can boost up the FPS players final score

Thank you everyone for your feedback! Hope everyone is enjoying the patch so far. The multiplayer disconnection issue for Desktop players is going to be top priority for me the next few days! Rest assured, I will get to the bottom of it!
