Playing Silent Hill f was a revolutionary experience, and yet seeing the prevalence of Japanese social norms in 1960 be applicable today is a horrifying display of the systemic abuse in our social and cultural systems. This begs the question, "How do we escape Systemic Abuse?"

Using “Reflections on the Way to the Gallows: Rebel Women in Prewar Japan” compiled by Mikiso Hane, I examine and analyze Silent Hill f and Hinako's journey closely and come to the conclusion on how important diverse voices are in making the isolated victims of abuse feel closer and safer in their communities.

How else would we be able to comprehend abusive patterns, understand how they affect us all, and change the system that perpetuates it without hearing the diverse voices that can teach us so much about varying aspects of society and life?
