Jeremiah 1:19
They will fight against you, but they shall not prevail against you, for I am with you, declares the Lord, to deliver you.

Jesus said, “Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep's clothing but inwardly are ravenous wolves” (Matthew 7:15). There are wolves in our midst. They are not the unbelievers who hate the church or the sinners whose disobedience hurts the reputation of the church.

Philippians 4:13

Proverbs 17:15
The LORD hates these two things: punishing the innocent and letting the guilty go free.

(Matthew 18:3). Further, he warned against any abuse to them, saying: “Whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in Me to sin, it would be better for him if a millstone were hung around his neck, and he were drowned in the depth of the sea". (Matthew 18:6).

A warrior after God's heart is a man of authenticity (1 Peter 2:8‐9). A warrior after God's heart lays his life on the line (Ephesians 2:10). A warrior after God's heart rises to the challenge (2 Timothy 4:2‐5). A warrior after God's heart makes a stand (Ephesians 6:10‐13).

Jesus said: “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life” (John 8:12).

God does not want us to be overcome by evil but to participate with him and others in stopping evil and overturning its impact. Evil happens to everyone. Jesus told us that we will experience trouble in this world, but to “take heart” because he has overcome the world (John 16:33 ).

2 Timothy 2:3-4
You therefore must endure hardship as a good soldier of Jesus Christ. No one engaged in warfare entangles himself with the affairs of this life, that he may please him who enlisted him as a soldier.

God often ordered his people, the Israelites, to go to war with other nations (1 Samuel 15:3; Joshua 4:13). War is never a good thing, but sometimes it is a necessary thing. In a world filled with sinful people (Romans 3:10-18), war sometimes cannot be avoided. Sometimes the only way to keep sinful people from doing great harm to the innocent is by going to war.

Romans 12:19
Beloved, never avenge yourselves, but leave room for the wrath of God; for it is written, “Vengeance is mine, I will repay, says the Lord.”

God is our refuge and our strength (Psalm 46:1-3)

Under his wings, you will find refuge (Psalm 91:4-5)

The Lord commanded us through Amos, “Hate evil, and love good” (Amos 5:15). For someone to truly follow after God, they must hate evil. Proverbs 8:13 says, “the fear of the Lord is hatred of evil.” Psalm 97:10 encourages us, “O you who love the Lord, hate evil!”

John 7:7, “but [the world] hates me because I testify concerning it that its works are evil.
