Although the Deathinitive Edition brings some updates to the engine and some other fixes, it also seems to have brought about instability in the game engine and numerous other "bugs" which often frustrate. It would be nice to see the developer work on these issues for the people (like me) who bought the original (having loved the first one so much) and then forked out for the Deathinitive Edition.

Having said that, at its core the game remains the same, and WHAT a game it is. Minor quibbles aside, the 20 or so hours it will take you to run through the game will breeze by and when you find out that to get all of the best loot in the game you have to re-start a NG+, you will not be phased. I've played through now 10 times I think (4 NG+ on the original) and still love it. The graphics are fantastic, as is the visual style, the characters are full of, well, character, the puzzles are sometimes taxing but never frustratingly so, the story is EPIC, voice acting is AAA, the loot system is adictive and the overall experience is so good that it will immediately leave you wanting a Darksiders 3.

Put up with the bugs and this is still a monumentally fun experience.
