It's an interesting if flawed gem.

I recommend it, it's an interesting singleplayer game that has a bit of that (nice) uncomfortable VR feeling.
It's pretty cool to lightly jet around space.

It's also a bit of a grim story, which is a neat rarity.

Early Access Review
It's the best + most popular social VR experience.
If you have a Rift, if you have a Vive, if you have a WMR, you must get this.

It's Desert Bus.

You can be a driver or a passenger.
There's a cool interview you can listen, to understand why they made this nightmare / the original nightmare.

It's friggin' Desert Bus. You should know what you're getting into.

I've just finished the game.

It is scary, intense, eye-rollying and important, all for good reasons.
It's such an intimate view into the love life of a person. Oof.

And again, like with SUPERHOT, it is full of clear touchstones for a late 80s / early 90s kid.

If you're up for / okay with feeling awkward and voyeristic at times (as well as a mirror being held up to me in certain ways), then I highly recommend giving Cibele the short hour or two it takes to play.

I've been interested in SUPERHOT ever since they unveiled that teaser / demo years ago, and am super happy (oh lord, pun unintended) with the result.

As a 90s kid who spent his time in irc chat rooms that he was probably too young for, and as a VR fan now, this game really, really suited me, down to a tee.
The first thing I did upon starting the game was to spend 10 minutes reading an "active" irc chat log

Fun & challenging combat puzzles with a deeply satisfying art style and soundscape, well worth it.

A fantastic sci-fi horror adventure and tale that really surprised me.
I really hope people check this out and stick with it, through to its final moments.

I found it very straight forward and short [78 minutes on my first playthrough].
There are a few endings that vary depending on what seemed like not-very-visible 'choices' in the second half of the game.

I was disappointed with the level of fear I felt too, it was not as scary as other horror games that I've played.

Hoever the art style is exceptionally unique and the character animations are pretty good. I like the idea of playing with guilt and horror tropes [subverting expectionations and all that jazz] but this also failed to capitalise on that, with a very quick cut ending that could have been expanded upon.

The music is a bit consistently loud too in my opinion, it damaged the tension felt on the whole.

Note: I backed the game on Kickstarter and had played a demo at PAX Prime 2013.
