Playing for 2 hours now and - being a fan of the original games - love the remake (which is what I'd prefer to call it). Reminds me very much of Star Control 2 with enhanced and 3D visuals. Great visuals - love the cinematics, the dialogues, all very beautifully done. Neat, funny writing, quest logs, back logs, all you could think of.
However, the performance is definitely subpar. You will need a decent machine to play this game in HD with acceptable FPS. Being on a planet or, even worse, in hyperspace, is making this game a slideshow on my notebook on max settings (without showing visuals that would allow it to).
Nonetheless, the game is lots of fun and definitely a thumbs up. With acceptable performance, I'd make it a 7/10.

Enjoyed the game, it's beautiful and well done. However, it didn't manage to really get me. I experienced it as slightly too stressful for my taste. I would have preferred it to be a little more relaxed when it comes to building and researching. It felt a bit like there's just not enough time for the player to set up a real strategy.
Nonetheless, it is a very solid game and my experiences are absolutely subjective. I can well imagine lots of people having a shedload of fun with this game. Definitely worth its pricetag.

I have been a yearning day 1 customer and really wanted to like this game. However, it feels unpolished at best. The AI is worthless fake, the world seems dull and uninspired, the UI/UX is terrible, the whole game feels like the result of a two-day game-jam and can hardly have taken much more time. I am really sorry and I usually do not give bad ratings, but this was a serious disappointment.

After 35 years of gaming, it's hard for games to hype me nowadays. This one had me after its first 10 seconds and so far - I'm about 110 minutes in the game now - I am still deeply in love. Extremely beautiful visual-novel-like, minigame-enhanced cyberpunk adventure that is giving me a Beneath the steel sky-feel.
Outstanding pixelart, soundFX, music, writing - a must-play!
EDIT: Just completed the game and this was one of my most fulfilling gaming experiences ever. Outstanding, incredible, inspiring. Gotta play this or you missed out on something great.

INSIDE feels like a modern successor of games like Another World and Flashback. Extremely beautiful and atmospheric, outstanding animations. A must-play. Great work, Playdead

Beautiful! A most original experience. Come with patience and don't expect a classic game and you might learn to love it. I do. Blew me away during the first two hours and I will definitely come back for more. Meditative.

Absolutely brilliant! Completed it in about 8 gripping hours. One of the best and most original gaming experiences I had so far (and I play since 1985). If you enjoyed Uplink, this will blow you away.
EDIT: After finding the "third party" I gave the game another go and gained all achievements, resulting in 12 thrilling hours of play time.
ANOTHER EDIT: Couldn't stop playing and got myself Labyrinths, which I just completed and this game HYPED me. Taking the game to another metalevel really got me, the finale was outstanding. This is one of my top 50 games of all time, seriously.

Smile Game Builder is a great jRPG construction kit with excellent editing functions. Both the map and the script-editor are easy to use and allow a wide range of behaviours. You can set booleans, use integers and script about everything you'd like to. Dialogues could use some polishing though - I didn't find a way to stay in loops within dialogues, they end and have to be reinitiated.
The graphics coming along are neat and can easily be used as a base for your own custom work. Adding new artwork is quite easily done. The graphical performance is sub-par, though. Given the resolution of the textures and polygons of the models, it should perform faster. Artwork resolution is limited to 960x544, I would love to see HD resolutions available.
The engine comes with a localization tool that definitely needs some work, cannot recommend it for multi-language games at the time of writing this.
Nonetheless, the developers are actively updating the engine and I already had several requests resolved in no time. Support is great, fast and friendly.
Biggest drawback in my opinion is the lack of influence I have in designing the game's actual rules: Character stats cannot be really modified or extended, you are limited to what it delivers out of the box.
Given that this engine is yet very young, I have to say I am impressed by its state and look forward to future updates.
It does have some weaknesses yet, but I am pretty sure it will improve soon and it can already be used for the production of professional games.
If you are looking for an engine to develop good looking 3D jRPG games easily and quickly and can live with its limitations, this is probably the best software on the market and well worth its price. If they keep working on it as they do right now, this may become one truly impressive piece of development software.
I will keep this review updated as the engine progresses in development.

Early Access Review
Beautifully drawn hommage to the 90's classic, the tamagotchi, bringing it to a new level. Missing some sounds and music, but being Early Access, I expect these to show up later. If you love virtual pets and zombies, this is for you!
