After downloading a whopping 60gb of this game, I was expecting some, any really, sort of satisfaction from it. Unfortunately I didn't get any. Matchmaking queues take a long time depending on where/when you are playing, and as soon as you jump into the action, 80% of times you're insta-killed by veteran players, since this game has no sort of player ranking division. The other 20% you're roaming around looking for items, only to be obliterated by an aerial bombing skill from an enemy squad that plays together daily on discord for 2 years, while you drop in with other random noobies. Played 6 rounds hoping it would get better. I doesn't.

The game would have been fun in its own original concept. The problem is that it tried to copy Fortnite's terrible platform building mechanics, which adds a layer of unrealistic boredom that is hard to get over.

As a Vermintide player, I really wanted to like this game. Unfortunately, on a Quest 2, the controls are pretty bad. You can tell the weapons are a little misaligned from your hand, not a huge amount but just enough to break the immersion. The spells are pretty cool, but the combat gets a bit repetitive after a while.

This works better as a VR controls demo than as a full game. The core of this game is the action swordplay, which, from the images and video, I hoped it would be more like Elder Scrolls or Dark Souls. Unfortunately, it is neither. Yes, most reviews say it's basically it's Infinity Blade in VR, and they're right, attack is basically just timing and 'swiping' in the direction pointed on the screen overlay. There's no real advanced combat reading for swordplay, just pay attention where to swipe. The graphics are gorgeous and so are the enemies, the weapons are ok, but unfortunately the gameplay/swordplay is not VR-worthy. Maybe as a mobile game of a Nintendo Wii game it would have made more sense.

Nice game with awesome graphics and good gameplay, but I am uninstalling for a couple reasons: 1: PVP is supported, but not encouraged and is pretty much dead within the game. 2: You can't have a party with less than 4 players, so if you want to tag along with a buddy, expect to get a couple more unknown players who do not always understand what must be done to complete missions, or know too much, both of which take a lot of the fun out of the game. I also feel there is too much complexity into the crafting and mods system, so if you're more into an arcade 'automatic' build up action gameplay, you will suffer with the modding system complexity.

No 21:9 ultra-wide support for a FPS in 2020 is unacceptable.
