Early Access Review
A worthy spiritual successor to Transport Tycoon (for trains at least). Very satisfying and precise grid-based track building system somewhat similar to TTD but with much smoother curves.

As for visuals, the game has two modes: a building mode with the terrain and the grid exposed and a more cinematic mode that's pretty to look at — in case you were wondering why some of the trailers and screenshots look so different from each other. You can also ride in the trains for extra immersion.

As for the gameplay and economics when compared to TTD, you're collecting different types of tokens instead of just money which feels like a breath of fresh air in this genre even if it's more game-y. You have to produce the fuel you consume so early on you're shipping coal, then diesel, and finally supplying power stations for electricity. Having to manage the production and consumption of fuels leads to more interesting gameplay.

The game's still in Early Access as of the time of this review but the game is already has the first five eras out of the total seven planned out. I ended up playing something like 4-5 different campaigns as the game gets more updates and I learn something new or set out a new goal for myself every time. That's how I reached the 100 hours so far, with more updates coming.

A game about getting stuck in the mud in rural Siberia. If you enjoy the aforementioned core gameplay loop there's plenty of trucks and maps to enjoy across the DLCs and the active Steam Workshop / modding community.

+ You can play in Online coop
+ Trucks and maps are easy to get from Workshop
+ Fully playable with an x360/Xbox One controller
+ Supports inputs from multiple game controller devices (wheels and such)
+ Immersive and atmospheric cockpit view
