OG RE4 is my 3rd favorite game of all time. I had alot of trepidation when Capcom announced this remake. Would they ♥♥♥♥ it up? How can you outdo the perfection that is OG RE4? It had (and still does) a certain charm and camp to it that would be almost impossible to replicate. All of that went out the window after about 5 minutes into this game. Much like the Dead Space 2023 remake and the Final Fantasy 7 remakes, this game is absolute perfection. While I still would recommend playing OG RE4 (I still go back and replay OG RE4), absolutely EVERYTHING about this game is perfect. Graphics, atmosphere, music, voice acting, sound effects, visuals, gameplay, everything. My SINGLE complaint is Ada's voice actress; they shoulda used the actress from REmake 2. In this one, I genuinely think REmake 4's Lily Gao fine, great even, it's just REmake 2's Jolene Andersen was absolutely perfect for Ada. That is such a miniscule thing for me though, because this game is just absolute perfection. Also quick shoutout to Nick Apostolides. He was great in REmake 2, but he ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ KILLED it in this. Perfectly translated Paul Mercier's voice delivery from OG RE4 into this darker, more brutal toned remake. I love this game so much. An absolute masterpiece.

One of the best 40k games you'll play. Amazing graphics, voice acting, sound design, atmosphere. Balance was a little rough on launch, but everything feels pretty good now. Operations are great, and there is alot to grind for. LOTS of customization options. The just added Techmarine is awesome. I really hope they add Apothecary. Story is pretty good too, very interested to see how Titus's storyline evolves in Space Marine 3 and tabletop. Can't recommend this game enough.

For Ultramar, For Guilliman, For The Emperor!!!

A great game, but very controversial remake. As with REmake 2, this one has phenomenal graphics, even in 2026. Alot more "on rails" than the almost metroidvania style of REmake 2. Nemesis basically only shows up in scripted fights. Voice acting is excellent. Some very frustrating fights. Felt like this was more of an action game rather than horror. Clock tower is gone. Park is gone. Factory replaced with Umbrella Lab, similar design cues as the Lab from REmake 2. Short, finished first blind playthrough in 5 1/2 hours. I'd say maybe not buy full price, but $15 or less and it's a worthy purchase.

Will be very interested in playing the recently announced cut content mod, Last Escape

Phenomenal remake. Graphics are still really good in 2026. Presentation, voice acting, atmosphere, everything is 10/10

Writing this review after completing my first playthrough. Took me 128 hours, tried to do everything possible on a first run. Started on PS5, switched to PC when the crossplay patch came out.

An absolute masterpiece. If you can think of it as an option, the game will probably allow it. Some of the best voice acting I've ever encountered in a game, period. I think the thing that impressed me the most was every single conversation cutscene was hand animated, no reused animations like in Elder Scrolls or Mass Effect. Very impressive. Can't wait for subsequent playthroughs, gonna dive deep into the mods.

Simply one of the best hardcore tactical shooters I've ever played. Gunplay feels amazing, customization is fantastic, AI can be a bit wonky. Definitely will be a staple co op game for me. Absolutely phenomenal.

Rip and tear, until it is done part three: heavy metal medieval jubilee. You gotta give id Software props for making 3 vastly different, very good Doom games back to back. If Doom 2016 is "run and gun", Doom Eternal is "jump and shoot", Doom The Dark Ages is absolutely "stand and fight". In this one, Doomguy is a tank, slowly and methodically crushing the demonic hordes of hell. Much like Doom Eternal, I consider this a very fun sidegrade to the perfection that is Doom 2016, but in the opposite direction of Eternal. Don't want something as frantic as Eternal? Give this a try; the combat in this game is alot more methodical and weighty. I rather enjoyed the cutscenes as well. Very good graphics, very good sound design, VERY good art direction. The Dark Ages might have my favorite art direction out of the trilogy. As for the music, Finishing Move INC does give us an excellent soundtrack, but it may be a bit jarring to hear a somewhat more traditional heavy metal composition, rather than the argent metal that Mick gave us with 2016/Eternal. Highly recommend this game!

Rip and tear, until it is done part two: hell on earth boogaloo. A very good sidegrade to the perfection that is Doom 2016. Be warned: Doom Eternal is alot more difficult, fast paced, and frantic. Combat is much more exhilarating, but you do "have" to play how id wants you to with the combat loop. I found the game much more difficult in the beginning when you barely have any combat options, but when you finally acquire the full arsenal, the combat loop supersedes Doom 2016 in my opinion. A must play if you enjoyed Doom 2016, and want something more difficult, in your face.
