An adorable game with sweet characters and a delightful art style!

I would recommend the game with a warning: Paradise Killer is an open world game with visual novel elements before it is a true investigation type game. Meaning you will spend the vast majority of your time collecting in an open world. This is fine for me but it isn't really what I was expecting! I had a great time though, I loved exploring the island and meeting the characters.

I just couldn't get into it :( I really wish I could as everyone seems to love it. But it just didn't connect with me, I wasn't having enough fun to push through the discomfort of the environment.

I stayed up way too late collecting literal trash because I love this game and the town of Kaso-Machi that much! I would consider this a near perfect game for its sense of humor, story, gameplay, voice acting, music and visual style.

The only areas where it falls short for me are the frustratingly difficult races and a few events that occur at the end of the game which I think would've been more effective had they been done differently. I also just wish there were more content because I love the game so much.

I never played Paradise Killer but I certainly will now!

Pentiment is a gem for anyone who appreciates a slow paced story told through an adventure game. One of its greatest accomplishments is how immersive it is; by the end I could look across the crowd of the residents in Tassing and name each and every one of the people. I am very attached to the town, its people and its troubles. Something I found challenging was determining the best way to spend my limited time, but I began to accept that I and my actions would be imperfect which is kind of freeing. Playing this game was a wonderful experience!

I would recommend this game for anyone who likes a mystery with a bit of horror spicing things up! Something special about this game is how it provided limitations trough the time management system while helping me feel in control of my actions through the many options I had for spending my time. In that way it was perfect for me.

What I liked: the cast of characters, the spooky atmosphere, the amount of voice acting, that the puzzles were not frustratingly hard, how incentivized I was for exploring and learning things (there was often great payoff for just being thorough). What I disliked: I got really close to getting everything I wanted to get done but I was blocked in the end by characters being inaccessible late in the game. It's my fault for not having the pieces I needed sooner, but I was getting things done left and right and in the end I was simply blocked by the game so that was a little disappointing. I tried to go back a few in game hours after I finished the game to tie up loose ends but I lacked the patience to redo hours of in game work. Overall I loved it and I hope they make another game in this style!

If you are a lover of mysteries and visual novels, I don't think you can go wrong spending 3-4 hours with Gilligan and Detective Butler! Especially bearing in mind that this is a free game. The characters were pretty good and the story was fun and interesting. Definitely recommend!

Don't look up anything, just play the game. Also I'm really scared and sorry.

Fans of the first Life is Strange might not know what to expect from Before The Storm - it's a prequel and different studio is making it. Chloe has a different voice actor, etc. I want to tell all fans of Life is Strange that you must play this game but be warned: you might like it better than the original. The writing is great, the story is intriguing, and you really care about the cast of charactors. I wish there were more games like this out there. It's a total gift whenever the next installment of this game comes out, I know I'm in for a great day.
