My personal recommendation is to play Earthbound instead.

What a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ piece of ♥♥♥♥ game - nowhere near the perfection of Bayonetta/Bayonetta 2.

Everytime you die, clicking okay restarts the game but fires off a bullet as well, thus wasting one of your bullets. It's literally just a tower defense game as well. Platinum should not have stained themselves by adding their logo to the splashscreen with this piece of ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ trash. You can't even move in this game either. Bayonetta is known for its style but all you do in this piece of ♥♥♥♥ is fire a limited amount of bullets while stationary.

And one more thing... NEVER ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ USE HQ2X FILTERS IN YOUR 8-BIT GAMES YOU ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ MORONS. IT LOOKS DISGUSTING - KEEP THAT FOR MOBILE BLUE OCEAN TRASH.

IF YOU ENJOY THIS GAME YOU ARE A FILTHY DEGENERATE PEDOPHILE AND YOU SHOULD ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ KILL YOURSELF FAST.

It's a heavily censored game that alienates their one and only degenerate demographic.

I will upboat this piece of ♥♥♥♥ when Steam lets us disable the guide button.

Run forward while taking no damage, recharge EP, run forward again while taking no damage, repeat...

Is this Inti's idea of a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ challenge? They must be joking, because this game is not difficult at all. It is easy as ♥♥♥♥. Not once did I ever see a reason to actually tag enemies 1-3 times to increase the damage output of my Flashfield. Not once did I feel the need to just simply shoot enemies. Not once did I see a need to use Flashfield to reduce my falling speed. I mean, honestly, why do that when I can just run through enemies until my EP is 20% full then recharge and run through enemies again? Right, if my EP is 0% and I begin to take damage, that is when my true health bar starts to reduce. This was a horrible idea. I felt no motivation to fight enemies as it was just a waste of time.

The sound effects were good, as was the soundtrack, though Mighty Gunvolt's 8-bit variations sound better than most of the tracks in this game (especially the boss theme).

Hazards by the way do zero damage (just like Mighty ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥), and deaths (not all the time but probably half the time) lead to ressurection through an ability called Anthem which grants infinite EP + garbage weeaboo music.

Was this supposed to be a spiritual successor to MMZ or Advent? If it was, then nah. Nah, you ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up Inti. You ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up big time with this pile of ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.

The boss fights were incredible at least, and the implementation of skills into this genre was a genius idea. I especially liked how it pauses the game and waits for the character to yell something out before that special attack gets executed (not being sarcastic here).

I'm not recommending this because it ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ sucks. Go play Mega Man Zero 1-4 and Advent/ZX Advent instead of this trash. Refunded, naturally, and I will not pirate to play it again. I have no desire to play this game ever again.
