As always Deck Nine delivers!
It's lovely to be back with Max and the mysterious world. Can't wait to play the remaining chapters on 29th.

There is several small bugs in the game at the time of this review (17/10) but it's nothing that breaks the game experience, just random floating pens, and a black screen that is a bit slow to go away when loading a new area. I'm sure this will get fixed before release

Wonderful relaxing game that takes you on an amazing ride through a story rich world, all while you listen to calm, well made music

2 hours in with my first city, and yes i agree, the game needs heavy optimization, and i did have to fiddle around with settings to make the game look good and play well at the same time on a 3080ti.
However with that said!

It's a fresh take on a game was already loved. Many fun new systems to play around with, and with some patches, and maybe a new graphics driver, this game could easily become the next big milestone for the series.

To those in doubt if they should buy. If you don't like to fiddle with settings to make the game run, and look good, then Wait a few months.
But if you don't mind a game that is almost the new "But can it run Skylines?", then go ahead and join the fun. The mechanics of the game is solid!

Speaking for myself, i can already see this as my big winter game. Now excuse me. I'm planning a city!

Don't buy this game if you aren't an console gamer. And considering i'm doing a PC review that means Don't buy this game!

The Good:
* Video clips are well worked out with good vibes and feel if you love Game of Thrones.
* Graphics can have its moments. (for an MMO. Kinda lackluster for an RPG)

The Bad:
* Menu controls will have you scream. Who thought it was a good idea to use gamepad icons as standard (can be changed) and then even "Q" as key to go back or close a menu?? What happened to good old "ESC" which have worked for every single game before it.
* No ultrawide-screen support. Sure you can select 3440x1440, but then welcome to black bar land.
* 60fps? ... Really?
* No DLSS, no raytracing (they claim will come later), no advanced graphic options (It's PC. Let us customize!).
* In-game controls are clunky. Stiff and not stiff at the same time.
* Good luck guessing where the map is if you skipped the tooltip.

Sadly i can't return this game as i bought it as a key, but maybe future patches can help convince me to return at some point.

The Conclusion of the original Tomb Raider games.
Classics never die!
It has a few bugs here and there, but nothing game breaking and you can complete the game even with them present.
