This game is a wonderfully crafted, jank, acid trip WH40K homage with a hefty dose of source engine.

I'd recommend this game to anyone who enjoys first person shooters, and has enough patience to get through the horrendous UI and (initially) nonsensical storyline, once you get past those two elements, EYE is an amazing experience you will never forget. Expect vast amounts of jank, expect vast amounts of fun, expect vast amounts of confusion.

It looks like the nanoha game you've always wanted, sadly it's not.

The game is an average fighting game with some interesting mechanics, and an admittedly wonderful art style, but the gameplay is simply not engaging enough for me to recommend this game.

This game is a magnificently flawed beast.
Incredibly fun, a great way to spend your idle time with friends, and an incredibly high skill curve and amount of depth. This is a wonderful shooter, and definitely stands up next to KF2 (so long as you can look past the very dated visuals)

Sadly, KF2 has eaten most of it's player base, but you'll still find a few servers with people happily blowing up zeds, this is a coop classic, and well worth your time if you're looking for a game to sink your teeth into.

Some may disagree with me but this is my favourite id title to date (although DOOM2016 is doing a very good job stealing that crown)

Absolutely menacing, amazing music, and plays like a dream. If you want a good shotgun, Quake 2 has the best shotgun of all time. Bar none.

Play this game, live a classic, see id in peak form. Just, try and look past the blurry textures...

Hands down one of the most polished and intense cooperative games you can play with friends, Helldivers takes an old concept (4 player topdown coop) and polishes it to an insane degree.

The game cleverly uses a huge variety of mechanics to encourage teamplay, nailbiting situations and amazing crescendos of violence, coupled with some great writing and world building, a wonderful artstyle and absolutely outstanding audio, this game is a shining beacon of what wave based coop should be.

My only gripe is the galactic battle mechanic, while novel and pretty cool, means you'll often be completely locked out of fighting certain factions, for time ranging from a few days up to an entire week! Not very much fun when your favourite enemy faction is completely locked out whenever you try and play...

Overall, amazing game, well worth the money. The DLC is a little pricey for what it is, but all of the gear locked behind the paywall is an absolute blast to use and is just as extremely polished as the rest of the game. Play Helldivers, Today.

Hands down one of the best action RPGs in existence, and one of the best ports I've ever seen too. It runs like silk.

My only complaint is the game is too easy lategame, and they didn't license the original opening song.

Excellent section of incredibly tight level design that uses Half Life 2's mechanics even better than Half Life 2!

Loads of attention to detail, interesting encounters and a few twists and turns that will surprise you. The final encounter was one of the most incredible moments I've had in a source game (including valves titles!)

What follows is criticism mainly for the developers to take on for whatever incredible thing they move onto. This mod is a 10/10 experience I would recommend anyone. However...

-The gravity weapon feels too powerful, I would suggest against it being so effective against most enemies.
-The level design, while excellent, didn't revolve around the gravity weapon enough. The final area really demonstrates what could have been done, but unfortunately wasn't for the majority of the gameplay.
-The final fight was slightly too restrictive on ammunition. I would have personally placed 2-4 additional rockets throughout the area, it took me 2 tries and both times I didn't have enough ammunition after scouring all 4 structures. I'd also liked to have seen a few more soldiers and hunters in the fight early on.

Overall, an outstanding example of what modders and level designers can do when they put their minds to it.

If you should wake to a "man-dead" world where virtually all of human life has been dissolved from the face of the earth, leaving behind only buildings, bridges, machines... If you should awake to such a world tomorrow morning, what would you do? Where would you go?

Me? I'd probably finish S+ ranking the final levels of Desync.

Desync is a cohesive, expertly crafted single player experience for the badass FPS player.

If you thought you'd never play a game like quake on max difficulty again, you thought wrong, cause desync takes all the best elements from those ancient FPSes and revitalises them in a delicious mix of tight controls, cool level design, varied and excellent enemy design and an excellent cohesive visual style and an outstanding soundtrack.

No game is perfect though and desync suffers from a few minor flaws. Boss fight balance is awkward at best, frustrating at worst. The weapon upgrade system is mostly pointless and not well balanced and hitboxes are a little odd, but once you get past these problems you'll find a deep, complex singleplayer experience that rewards quick reflexes and thinking, has LOADS of replayability and is an absolute blast to play.

Don't let the cute visuals fool you, this game is great, tricky but rewarding controls and combos give the combat a lot of depth, and the enemy AI is intelligent and aggressive enough to make you have you actually play well to push through.

The games strongest feature is it's combat and it never ceases to escalate the fights as you play. Every monster has a decent set of moves and will use them to the best of their ability to shut you down, you won't be button mashing through these enemies. One of my favourite features is that while most enemies have one or two palette swap variants, these variants usually have very different movepools, often changing how you approach fighting them and always keeping you on your toes.

Be prepared for some nail biting difficulty and some very very clutch moments against bosses and even certain trash mob encounters. The pain is worth it however because coming out on top feels great. (and even if you fail, the game is very lenient allowing unlimited retries)

Get ready for a lengthy, charming campaign, with a lot of exploration and quests to do, sadly the game is mostly linear and you'll discover most secrets and optional content on your first playthrough, but I myself clocked around 30 hours on the first run, so you get your moneys worth.

Some small weaknesses though, a lack of fast travel between save points means that giving up on a dungeon run forces you to redo the whole dungeon again, which becomes an issue lategame as the dungeons get HUGE. Additionally, there are only about 5 tilesets for dungeons, so a lot of them end up feeling samey, and even in the same dungeon you'll often do loops and get completely lost due to a lack of decent landmarks.

This is a really underrated title. I'd liken it to titles like Hyper Light Drifter, Cave Story and Axiom Verge, but replace serious dark storytelling with a lighthearted, cute story.

This game will occasionally frustrate you with it's hard one hit kills and frankly absurd trickshots, but it's impossible to stay angry for more than a fraction of a second as it thrusts you straight back into the action as a jolly tune plays and you dash over a field of lovehearts.

This is a game for the hardcore FPS players, if you like quake this is literally the game for you. But on a more deep level it really is for that FPS player, it's a great game that lets you unwind, instead of punishment for failure you get whimsy and a bright bubbly soundtrack.

If you're frustrated with your teammates in TF2 or Overwatch, play this game.
If you love playing Doom, Quake or Unreal tournament, play this game.
If you like unexplained japanese writings and weird ♥♥♥♥ このゲイムを遊ぶ。
If you like speedrunning (or you're interested in getting into it) play this game.

I have only one way to describe this game, and that is 'wonderful'
