Come for 64 player or larger matches weekly!

We are always going to be a casual group out for fun and we welcome all skills with the Verdun game from the experienced to the brand new. As best we can we also try to make our games as balanced as possible. Our membership includes all levels of skills and our group spans the globe for its playerbase. It is common for our matches to see both old and new players even on the same teams, so all are invited under two simple conditions--play fair and be nice to others.

On many Fridays we offer one match on the EU server and another match on the US server separated by four to six hours. Occasionally we also offer special events on some Saturdays and Sundays.

Unless otherwise mentioned and only if a password is used our password is always x64player for all our events.

Several discord channels are available with x64 most likely using the channel: https://discord.gg/FWzJWPx. Some in x64 might try the channel: https://discord.gg/48K56cC. Most of our events do not require one to use discord nor teamspeak, however.

We have a good number of members who are great with videos and screenshots. Here is an edited from two hours to twelve minutes video with story of the very first time we had more than 100 human players in the same match (before bots were available) by officer SovietDoge:

I haven't visited with the battalion for some time but I do want to wish happy holidays to everyone. I hope that you are all doing OK while looking forward towards next year.

Personally I turned 71 years old this year and I might as well aim for 72 or more. I haven't been in the trenches for a long time and I will have to review simple things like how to crouch and how to sprint, but I do intend to participate a little bit in this year's Christmas Truce.

I will not set up organized Truce events this season but if anyone wants to maybe try football or snowballs or just a walk around the Christmas Map I should be there on the EU server today December 24 for about an hour starting about 2pm Chicago time or 8pm London time. I should should also be there on the US server tomorrow December 25 for about an hour starting about 2pm Chicago time or 8pm London time.

Isonzo

Hello again battalion.

I see that a good number of our group are trying their mountain boots and canteens and flare guns while trying not to get lost in the rugged terrain of Isonzo. I personally do not yet own Isonzo but I know a number of our other officers and a more than large platoon number of Verdun x64 members have already played some games in the Italian Alps.

Verdun x64 from the beginning has required the help of many to grow to the size it achieved. The group has also always been open to try new and different events by a variety of our officers and moderators. This should still be the case with Isonzo.

Officers and Moderators of Verdun x64:

Feel free to make announcements at Verdun x64 if you want to plan Isonzo events. I know from experience that our battalion has been most active on Friday and Saturday evenings local server times. Perhaps Friday and Saturday evenings could be the best opportunities for some of our old comrades to play Isonzo together. It really is your call, not mine.

As for me, I am still kicking at age 70 but I haven't picked up any weapon in any game for some time. Does anybody know if one can customize a character in Isonzo to look as old as me? Can such a character earn victory points sitting in a chair at headquaters? Ha.

A hint for when we don't have events. If you choose the EU server in WW1 Series games and just want to play when it is most likely to have other humans, try joining a match early evenings Friday and Saturday (late morning/early afternoon if in western hemisphere wanting to play EU server). Choosing US server is normally most populated early evenings Friday and Saturday (late evening/early morning if in europe wanting to play US server).
