Owari no Seraph // Seraph of the End

Owari no Seraph (Jp. 終わりのセラフ, latter. «Seraph of the End») — A post-apocalyptic manga written by Takaya Kagami and illustrated by Yamato Yamamoto. Since September 2012, it has been published in the monthly magazine Jump Square by the Japanese publisher Shueisha to the present day. On April 4, 2015, the anime premiered in Japan.

In 2012, a mysterious virus kills the inhabitants of the Earth over the age of 13. At the same time, vampires also appear. They take the remaining people underground and provide them with "protection" in exchange for blood. Four years after the virus attack, twelve-year-old Yuichiro and his named brother Mikaela plan to escape with the rest of the children from the Hyakuya orphanage. The escape ended unsuccessfully: everyone was killed, only Yuichiro could get out of the ground. Subsequently, it turns out that the virus is no more, but the earth remains in ruins. Japan is ruled by the Hiiragi family, as well as the Japanese Imperial Demon Army controlled by it. The main character decides to become a warrior and exterminate vampires.

Yuichiro Hyakuya (Jp. 百夜 優一郎) — the main character, a member of the moon demon squad. When he was 12 years old, he tried to escape with Hyakuya's "family", but the vampires overtook the fugitives and only Yui survived. His main goal is revenge on vampires. By the beginning of the main plot, he is studying at the Academy of demonic forces. Hot-tempered and defiant. At first he didn't want to make friends, but then he met Shinoa and Yoichi (partly under pressure from Colonel Guren) and even saved the latter during the ritual of "taming" demonic weapons. Yuichiro is 10% not human. His weapon is the black demon Asyuramaru, which takes the form of a katana.
