Hmmm... I wonder if Steam support actually did something this time. Reported the group n+1 times except made a separate support ticket yesterday about the spamming, skin trading, botting etc in the other group

I managed to read an announcement posted by this guy , which said pretty much what's written on his profile.

While I don't agree with the deletion of the group, I agree that it's reprehensible that steamupowered advertises scam2A and other key sellers well known for scamming their customers.

Same, got kicked from the hijacked group... A blessing in disguise, cause I wasn't aware the group had been hijacked anyway. How did this even happen? :s

If I understand correctly, you can't change white name (SU Official Group), but you can freely change the gray name (unpwr) with anything up to 12 characters. Why not change it to "Unpowered"? Should make the group easier to find.

problem is you can't change the group's name and some ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ took Steam Unpowered, Steam Unpowered Official etc so I had to use this one, maybe we can create another one? haha just kidding, let it be that way for now. we'll see what happens.

Thanks for that, I can't even view that I'm banned ;) also I'm not against their cause it's their right to hate on anything they want but they took over the group that's been steadily maintained by me. Nothing I can do about it now, if you guys want to report it as hijacked be my guest. Maybe someone at Steam Support would help but I doubt it.

Well the original creator of the group decided to give the admin rights to someone else. TyranZer0. I was not the original creator but I've kept the group going for 9 years. This guys just wants to have a big user base for his cause. Let'em have it. I knew this would eventually happen because I was not the main admin. You can report the group but I doubt it would help since the main admin can do whatever he wants? We just gotta wait and see.

And as might be expected, the hijacker is censoring comments too. I left a couple of messages linking to this group for people who don't appreciate the changes, both were deleted, and I got a discussions ban in the group. People like that make me sick.

So sad to see the group get hijacked like this.
