why cant smite come to steam?

its been 2 weeks and my launcher won't patch anything. its stuck in waiting for server.
i tried all the recommended fixes. all of it. still not fixing.
anyone can suggest me how i could possible fix this? or should I dump this game?
'For those who are new. i prefer dont buy gems. you might have this problem soon. any you will waste your money on this game. im totally disappointed'
