This Group have been created to help protect Steam players by providing them alerts and guidance to safe guard their accounts from Steam ID thieves,scams, hackers, "phishing" and other sketchy activities. Please do not give out your password, and account name to those you do not know.

You can report a problem in the comments section, and I will also send your tip towards the Steam company, in an email.

Phisher have been phished by the IDWD and Destroyed?

Jynx Jessica - a known phisher have been kicked by her clan, and have lost friendship with a large amount of people.

IDWD helped plan this, by informing her innocent "friends" about her troubled past, ie showing them her old accounts, which are all vac banned with the same picture of her and the same myspace link.

Her name could change or should could have a new account

I cannot offically confirm that she was kicked out by my tip. But i gave the clan member from the CAL1D clan the info. And todays later she is no longer their a ranking "Officer" from their group and no longer their friend, and she no longer bear the tag.

Always keep your guard up against strangers.

Phishing Scam Alert! Fake Steam Game Offer

Dangerous Spam is being circulated by a player named ""LuckySeven [S]o [W]hat [E]ver". His account is sending a fake Steam Web page that "promises" free games on steam.

How Does he attack???
He will send you a random message, a fake steam link "http://steamgivefreegames345.t35.com/"

This scam have a catch... you gotta log on to the fake steam site that actually looks legit. If you type in your Account/Password, your account will be stolen. And the "phisher" could sell your account or get it banned by using hacks.

What is "Phishing"
"Phishing" is a new word for the 21 century, derived from the word Fishing, Hackers, Thieves and Scammers will go greath lengths to create fake looking websites, to trick you in giving your private info like passwords, credit card info, and/or email address.

Solution,
Please do not go on fake Steam websites with odd looking URL.s

If an odd Steam looking webpage asked you for your password. Do not put it in, even if you think it is legit. Instead. Go restart steam through the software, no through the website, if you are not sure about the website, Ask the Offical Steam company or contact Bowen from the IDTheft WatchDog Group.

We will help analyze the problem, and put our accounts a head of yours as a first layer of protection.. if we are wrong.

Ok people ill say this again. If anybody ever comes up to you saying that there are free games or saying that there are sweet deals right now and they give u a site that ask for ur information... DONT GO THERE!!!! try to look it up on the steam store if ur that intrested because theres a 99% chance its a phisher. besides, if it is such a huge deal u will find it on the steam store.
