The TF2 server is currently running (exclusively) a custom map "mario_kart_day_b19a". This is apparently an older beta for some variant of the imfamous "mario_kart" TF2 map. Presumably it was created by "XENON", who I believe created the original "mario_kart", map - along with "cyberpunk" and possibly "harbl_hotel". We like this version of "Mario Kart" better than any others. This version has lots of hidden areas, platforms in the sky, and other special features. This is a large map to download (~85-MB), so please be patient and plan accordingly.

For anybody interested, the following new servers on a good hosting provider are now availble:

Lost a bunch of people to the stevec hack fiasco, but it's been around since 2007

i always forget that DoD didn't go retail for over two years after CS did... in fact i think cs retail came out just before beta 1 did for DoD

I think it would be pretty cool getting everyone into the same server and maybe doing a console ss.

Only thing, is that it would probably be hard to get everyone in a server at the same time, since lots of us probably have work/school.
