It's been a good run.

It is the most unfortunate news that I have to give, and that is No Kids Here! will be shut down at the conclusion of tonight, the 20th of December, 2015.

I wasn't around originally, but when Maxx brought me on the admin team, I knew it would be quite an exciting ride, and no doubt it has been a joy. Continuing natz's efforts running the techincal side has been a very rewarding experience, learning many things along the way. It is a pity that it has to come to an end this soon.

No Kids Here! has been a community for two years, three months and three days. During that time, we have shared many memories and laughs.

I would like to thank everybody who has played on any of the No Kids Here! Servers, as you have contributed to the well being of our community. I hope your experience has just been as fun as mine. I would also like to thank all the moderators who have put time and effort into making the servers into what they had become. It has taken a lot of pressure off Maxx, natz and I!

Finally, I want to thank Maxx. Thanks for all the fun and opportunities that you have given me. Not only this, thanks for the great friendship that has developed over such a time. It has been an honour, and thanks for founding No Kids Here! to be a fun community for all.

If anybody wants to recreate what No Kids Here!, we will gladly hand you over the minimal server configs that we run.

Thank you all again for the fun and the memories.

Because it was hardly being used, not enough community support for that server unfortunately, people prefer valve these days. Community servers will eventually die because the majority of tf2 players dont want to help fill servers and Valve gets a majority of quickplay. Sad but true.

Hey R4FID, due to our other servers being empty too much due to the cancer of valve servers and peoples preference to play there more often we only run DUSTY and SOAP DM for the comp community.

Dustbowl Pro will be back tomorrow old settings, Servers 2 and 3 are going. We will keep Soap DM for the Comp Community.

Why is it not logical? Removing no crits and (I assume) class limits to enable quickplay makes a community server exactly the same as a Valve server. The only difference is the person paying to keep it alive.

Again, the exact same thing happened to Payload Inc. I don't want to see it happen to nKH.

I doubt it would drive anyone away to be honest with you. Apart from nkh dustbowl, I don't think there are any other community servers that run 24/7 dustbowl and if people were to leave and go to a valve server for example, that's just not logical.

Unfortunately Server 2 is back to Random Crits due to the server being too difficult to keep full, the good thing is that server now gets quickplay which means a more active server!

An empty server or with low players in it I meant.

Hey guys check out the nKH! bot, if you are a friend of the bot and have 70k points on the Gameme stats or 5 days gameplay (min requirement) you can ask the bot to announce an empty server for you. There is a limit of one announcement every ten minutes that the bot will perform. Thank you very much to our wiz da_apple with help from Obla.
