Nineteen Eleven is the original home of the competitive Day of Defeat community.

Launched in early 2002, much of the success of DoD 1.3 is owed to the 1911 community and their push for competitive game-play in the early years of DoD. Relaunched in 2011, it has once again been adopted as the virtual hub of the remaining DoD 1.3 community.
