Non so se abbiano già finito, stando a quanto dicevano quest'estate sarebbe dovuta essere rilasciata durante l'inverno, quindi se non fosse già ultimata e pubblicata, dovrebbero rilasciarla a breve.

The cost is usually 15€ and pretty much all pharmacies sell it; depending by the region you're in they will allow salivary test (even though, then again, salivary test should be accepted in all regions, but some like to do illegal things and refuse to take salivary test as valid towards the release of the green pass).

Thank you, so I will do an antigen test, then I will get a CE certificate, then I will be able to function normally in Italy as much as possible. The trip is not long, only 5 days, arrival by plane. I hope that the same certificate with a negative result will allow me to use the attractions and services. Does this test only work 48 hours then expire?

The short answer is: no.

Italy is requiring people to show the Green Pass (a proof of negative test in the last 48 hours or vaccination) to have access to an increasing number of services, although this is illegal under the EU Regulation 953/2021 Article 10, subsection 3.

With that said, as for now, without this certification you shouldn't be allowed to use public service transportation between two or more regions, airplanes, to eat inside any public place (unless you consume at the counter, in this case you're not required to have any certification), to access museums, concert halls, theaters, cinemas, swimming pools, gyms and universities. At the present time you can still use local transportation without showing the Green Pass but things may change in the future.

Corporations like Burger King will have guards keeping you outside if you don't show the certificate, other places, like resturants ran by privates, may or may not ask you the aforementioned certification.

Bear in mind that all of this is illegal under the EU law, by which Italy should abide.

With that in mind, I wish you good luck and a (hopefully) good stay.
