How has everyone been? It's almost been a year since the news and I've done a ton of thinking. Several times I would fantasize about getting the server back up, even if it's just for a few weeks, to pay tribute to DPW. Life keeps getting in the way but I would like to see if there would be interest in the idea. It wouldn't be a permanent thing and isn't even set in stone yet, so don't get high hopes. I'd just like to chase that dragon called nostalgia with the old gang one last time.

So all in all, who'd be interested and tell me how life's treating all y'all!

I thought I would follow up on this. D.P.W has passed. This actually happened a lot earlier in the year but I am just now finding out myself. I know we all occasionally were thinking about him but I only found it fair to share what I know with y'all. I would like to share a few fond memories about him, if you would like to do the same please go ahead.

I remember meeting him on Purple Valley way back in 2013-2014. He didn't talk much but when 'Mango' came in to tidy up the server, we started to chat more. He was already planning on making his own crit server, and I wanted to help. We grew close and would chat often, be it over tf2, map design, or just living with depression. ITIJCM meant to world to me, and I'm sure the same for him. We would discuss often about it growth and if we even wanted it to get much bigger, I mean we found a niche group of gamers. 2016-2018 I started to be less focused on my online presence, and I grew away from tf2 slowly. Around this time, we stopped talking but would still have our chats. Covid hit and I just got distracted with life, we were talking once every other month at this point. Until we just didn't have the time that is. That's life I suppose, you grow away from the people you care for sometimes. I remember he made the post about him being sick and we started to chat again until it went back to once every other month. The last message I sent to him was on a late night in December 2021.

Sorry that turned more into a rant of jumbled thoughts, but it is hard to know he is actually gone. May he know he was loved by us, and may we not forget him.

I still pop my head on here time to time. The server was a home, an escape, and so much more. I wish I new anything about how to host a tf2 sever just to get this live one more day. It warms my heart to see people coming on here and reconnecting to old friends or sharing dear memories. I hope all is well with everyone.

hey there, if anyone reads this i wanted to say hey and at least pay my respects to the server and D.P.W, I'm green and my old user name was something like linkwashere or something i dont remember I played on this server while i was like 12-14 and met a few really good friends on this server and loved how tight knit it all felt, everybody was buddies and it was light and fun, everytime i get on TF2 ill look for the server, just in order to check and see if somehow the server had been put back up, even looking through these comments i see names i remember and its so nostalgic. Im gonna be 21 in 2 weeks and its really cool to see you guys, and heartbreaking to see whats happened to D.P.W, may he rest in peace. I pray one day we can boot the server back up just to all reconnect and pay tribute. love you guys

Hello everyone, or at least the folks still here: My name is Daniel, with Ken as my old username. This server was my childhood server and Im here to pay tribute to D.P.W and the other admins/mods. I want to say thank you to everyone who played on this server and those who made my TF2 childhood memories golden, Riptide, Spike903, Goldencheeze and of course Ethan, a person who I still have contact with today (and many others of course). Also does anyone remember the CATS charade?

I spent my childhood days here when I was 10 years old, which was roughly 8 years ago as I’m turning 19 in march of 2024. Even though I am from Norway (which is in Europe), I still played with high ping for both the community and the crits/gravity on the server. This server has truly given me so much joy and I appreciate the community with the love of my inner child. I hope each and every one of you are living the best life.

I love you all.
