Yeah I know these hidden games, but those somehow never catched my attention, maybe the art is not good for my taste and their price not apealing.
This find 100 this or that is more fun and casual. However many have the issue that only 1 simple map what I finish under 10min (some was so easy, cats was on plain sight I finished in 1 min then the 100 achivement load for another 2 min :P)
Gladly some games like your series have multiple maps to finish, others (like Devcats) have alot stuff to do and also very hard so it keep me play for hours.

I haven't researched it thoroughly but from what I remember, Anatoliy was the first developer on Steam to popularise the minimal hidden object genre that we know and love today.

However, Big Fish Games made hundreds (thousands?) of hidden objects way back in the day outside of steam:

I just recently started this genre (esspecialy find 100 stuffs), but already got addicted.
I wonder wich one was the very first on Steam?

So far I found "100 hidden snails" from Anatoliy Loginovskikh as the possible first in this genre what released back in 2020 November.

Anyone know a more older one?

Wow, well thank you for your service! That's curious to hear about mistagging, I thought it was done by community voting - plus you only get 20 'important' tags on a store page, so it seems strange to waste them

@Follow The Fun: We're doing it by hand, based on the discounts listed on SteamDB, filtered for the Hidden Object tag. However, half of the titles are mistagged, thus we have to manually check each of them. More and more developers add fake tags to their games as a marketing trick to get more clicks.

How do you guys make the weekly list announcements? Is it automated or are you doing it by hand?
