Hey everyone, we're sorry to say but on November 7th, we will be closing down our Servers. Some of you may have seen this coming. It's been a bit quiet lately what with schools starting back up and some trouble with our anticheat system acting up on 64 bit clients, along with some other problems which aren't going to be going away anytime soon. Running these servers can be expensive and with how quiet things have been on donations, we've had to support the servers mainly by ourselves for the last year. It's also been a long time, we tried our best to fill up the gap in peoples hearts that the closing of the old servers left but now we think the time is up and it's best to move on. I myself have been an admin figure in the community for 5 and a half years, this server has been a part of me for so long. We've had a lot of fun with prop hunt over the last few years, we've had ups and downs, made plenty of friends but now we're getting tired of it all. It's time to sleep. Thank you so much to all of you who helped support the community throughout it's life. Remember that everyone is a banana, and some of you really opened yourselves up and made this place magical.

Regarding releasing data and/or server files: Data will absolutely not be available due to how sensitive it is and we have prided ourselves in our data protection and security; so any servers created out of our end will need to start fresh.
As for server files, we used the base code from Blasteh when EaB originally closed (found here[github.com]) with a couple of bug fixes and changes for custom addons but for the "original" feel Blasteh's repo will still be really good. For banning we also used another custom addon from Blasteh (found here[github.com]) so you can customize that to your hearts' content.
We will look into cleaning up the changes we've made: making sure that we rid of all IPs, passwords, redundant/leftover code (*cough* crowbars *cough*), all that jazz but we don't have an ETA as all 3 of us have a lot less time now compared to when we re-started the servers 3.5 years ago. Not only do we need to clean everything up, but we also need to consider options for exactly how we release the changes that we've made to you guys.
If you want to run a new [set of] server[s] in the name of the Banana then we have nothing against it personally, however keep in mind that if servers keep opening/closing in the name of the Banana then the name itself will get a bad rep for constantly shutting down and making a comeback so it will probably not work in your favour.

Personal note from me: Thank you all for joining this amazing community, I've loved developing/fixing and crashing the servers for you all to enjoy and I've learnt so much from the experience. It saddens me to have come to this but alas our time has come.
Thank you mighty unicorn (Blasteh) for starting the whole community off back in the days of "Everyone's a Banana", I would not have met any of the people I talk to now without the original servers. And thank you for being so supportive all the way through (for those who don't know he did keep checks on us to see how we were doing and responded when I needed expert help).
To all the admins who have come and gone - Thank you for everything you have done; breaking the game, fighting me for changes I didn't want (and them working out better for everyone), and most importantly keeping an eye on the servers and making them a nice place to be.
To all the people who told me I sucked and where my code was going wrong - Thank you, it really did help and you were vital to me for fixing the bugs that rose from my changes.
And a huge thank you to everyone who donated over the years and those who contributed (through donating, submitting taunts, reporting), without you the servers actually would not have survived as long as this without you.
