Yep. It's time.

I previously disabled the services that automated the servers. Now that the server box has done its weekly reboot, the TF2 servers are no more. Pretty soon my website will likely follow, as it runs off the same box.

Once again, thank you everyone for all the good times. Please don't leave the group, it would be awesome if everyone continued to organize and play elsewhere as you are able. Who knows, I might even be able to bring the servers back online sometime in the future.

Hello Everyone,

I am sad to report that the servers will be closing.

For the past decade or so, I have been acting as live-in caretaker for my Grandmother. On Monday, she finally passed away after slipping suddenly into a coma for a few days. This leaves my financial and living situation quite dire, as I currently have no employment and no money to my name, nor do I receive anything from the estate. As a result, I can no longer afford to run the servers.

Within the next few days, I will be shutting the servers down, possibly permanently. Until I can find a job with a livable wage, a place to live, and a good internet connection, I can't even consider bringing them back online.

I apologize for the short notice, and I appreciate all the good times everyone has had over the years.

Hello All,

The server is offline, and will be until the morning. We had an electrical service outage that affected my house. While we didn't lose power entirely, we did get a severe drop in available current (amperage).

I had to choose between running the house lights (which are all LED, and therefore draw very little current), being able to run the microwave (but not at full power - it took 3.5 minutes to heat a frozen burritto), or running the HVAC (which killed most of the lights in my house). Everything else, such as the server, computers, television, etc. all had to be shut off in order to conserve what little power was trickling into my house.

It appears that my power company has fixed the problem, but to be on the safe side, I won't bring the server back online until the morning.
