Hi! It has been a long time since I've had to post anything here, but we are currently looking into alternatives to Discord. If you haven't seen the recent news or want more info, I recommend watching this video: https://youtu.be/qhxsE8dvbs4

I've went ahead and made a Warfurs group for Stoat.chat (invite link is in the MoTD in-game chat), to be sure we at least had something when Discord takes the dive. It is by no means a perfect solution as there really isn't one right now.

There was a few things I was considering to use. Here is a list of what I've looked into:

Maybe Considering:

Fluxer: no mobile apps yet, but web version looks good? Might have future E2EE, but the servers being hosted in the US when the business is not based there raises some concerns. (also not a fan of their payment processor Stripe)
Steam Group: We could just use this more as well. Doesn't have all the features, and Steam's voice chat isn't the best. Might eventually become more of an option later on if Valve wants to attract Discord refugees by working on it more.

Not Considering:

Spacebar.chat : blocked by some ISPs (Internet Service Providers), so that is a complete no-go
Root (Rootapp) : not great privacy policy. Doesn't even flesh out privacy concerns for other countries.

Have some other ideas worth considering? Please post them in the replies.

Long Time Inactive Players, Removal and Recruitment

Hey there!

I just wanted to touch on the subject of long time absence.

It is no news to me that this game can be very tedious and people simply run out of things to do after a while.

That is fine.
I myself haven't touched Warframe for a while and wait for U19 to come out, as do a lot of other people.

But I need to remind you that our clan size is limited and that I will at some point have to remove members for being inactive.
Usually I do it around 200 days inactivity, but that's a rather long time.

IF, in any way, you have interest in playing Warframe in the future and just have other things to play or to do right now... please log into the game every few months so I don't end up having to remove you.

If you are unsure, that's okay. There's always people that stop playing for some reason and space can be made.

And in case you want to come back, feel free to send me a PM to ask me to be readded and I will, if I can!

As for recruitment, as long as there is space or there are long-time inactive players and someone is interested in joining the clan, I will try to squeeze new people in!
