Unreal Tournament 1999: Version 469 Announced!

Hello, fraggers! Beemo aka Insidious here.

I have some great news, which, apparently, had been going around for a while, but I’m only hearing word of it now.

Anyway, the news is that a new fanmade patch for “UT99” has been announced!

This new patch will be called “Version 469,” and promises to address bugs, glitches, performance issues, and more.

Everyone knows about the whole "Unreal vs. Quake" debate. Some people think "Unreal" is the superior FPS series. Others think "Quake" is better. Or, if you're like me, you love both of them.

If you're interested in the new "Quake Champions" game, well, today is your lucky day. "Quake Champions" is now free for a limited amount of time! Again, if you are interested, add it to your library while you still can! This offer ends on the 18th of this month, June.

20 Years Unreal

Yesterday, on May the 22nd, 2018, it marked 20 years since the original "Unreal" was first released in 1998. (Has it really been that long?)

But anyhow, hip hip hooray!

Happy 20th anniversary to the game that started it all.

I would like to thank Epic MegaGames and Digital Extremes for giving us these wonderful games. Without them, there probably would be no "Unreal Tournament" or "Unreal Championship," and there would be no Unreal Multiplayer.

I would also like to thank our members for keeping our group strong and steady! We love the support.

In honor of the game (and thus, the series) becoming 20 years old, Steam and GoodOldGames (GOG) dot com are releasing "Unreal: Gold" (a compilation of the original game and its 1999 expansion, "Return To Na Pali") COMPLETELY FREE for a limited amount of time! So, if you haven't got it already, you probably should while you still can! You won't regret it.
