In case you weren't aware, FlipWitch finally came out after numerous delays. We are in the process or giving a thorough inspection, and wanted to give our initial thoughts.

Now lemme just say, that FlipWitch, is an alright metroidvania. It's colorful, has lots of secrets, side fetch quests, full controller support, decent animations, (controls are a little bit floaty because of that)...but no sexual elements in the actual gameplay at least till the 2nd boss, at all. (We didn't really get past beyond that for now.)

I'm sad to report, but this looks and feels like your average metroidvania clone which you can find plenty more out there that does what this is doing far far better. If you are into that though, than it's a pretty decent one, but don't expect anything else than victory/defeat GIFs here in terms of the sexual content, and enemies with big bare tits.

There are no pin attacks, no orgasm meter, no corruption, no alternative ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ the enemy instead of killing them. Nothing. This, is a major letdown for me personally. Hell the whole gender switching only comes in to effect in platforming, or going through gender specific doors, NPCs (unless specifically scripted) don't even react to your gender change.

The whole porn aspect is yet once again just set dressing accompanying an average game as a side distraction.

We will try to dwell deeper into the game a little more before giving it our final thoughts, but so far it looks like another disappointment...unless you just want an alright metroidvania game. Then it's not bad.
