Also, I think it's a good idea to get a third weapon ASAP, because ammo in this game can run out quick. New weapons are not too far in any of the upgrade paths, but it should be noted that the first new weapon in the Support path is an alternate pistol, so you won't get a third weapon out of that.
To start off this tradition I would like to add that the best tactic for the first mission seems to be sprinting wildly and occasionally shooting suspicious civilians just to show that you mean business. If you're wearing dark clothes, you're going down.
Oh and shoot the taser mans.
