It's not stupid if it works.

Hey,

So I've waited until today to post my announcement for the closure of Mob Tactics.

The first of many things I'd like to say is thank you to everyone that made mtx possible. I thoroughly enjoyed my time managing these servers when I took over from zlj (kudos to zlj and Wolf for making them). We've had our ups and downs, but mainly ups and that's the memories I'd like to focus on.

For me, personally, I have not been motivated for the servers since around the beginning of this year. After playing TF2 almost solidly for 4 years and managing the servers for a year, I lost interest. Overall, it becomes a waste of money to keep the servers active if I don't have the interest or motivation to do anything for them. And for that, I apologise. I never wanted the servers to be for-profit, hence why I didn't push for donations of any kind. The servers were purely for the purpose of entertainment, and I hope that's what they delivered to most of you.

Both me and Wolf decided that it was best to close the servers, due to our current lack of motivation. We have both enjoyed our time with everyone that we've met and played with over the last year, and are sad to see it go. But, everything must come to an end.

I will miss these servers, and the community that helped build and grow our little Dodgeball Universe. They exceeded my expectations in terms of members on the group and regular players by leaps and bounds. To put it in perspective I gathered some Stats.

- 11,400 Total Players (from the point I added the ranking system)

- 34,023 Minutes spent playing on tfdb_octagon (567 hours)

- Khan (14,642 points) - Our #1 top player on the ranking system

There are many other achievements that have been made in this community but far too many for me to list out.

Last but not least, Thank You to everyone that helped build, grow, sustain and improve our servers and help the community thrive even in the darkest of times.
